Brooke Edwards

Brooke Edwards is a driven fitness professional with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and evaluating effective health and performance programs. As a certified personal trainer with extensive experience in one-on-one coaching, group fitness classes, and hockey-specific training, Brooke brings a well-rounded, athlete-focused approach to off-ice development.

With a deep understanding of strength training systems, injury prevention, and conditioning, Brooke helps athletes improve their power, speed, and overall athleticism. Their goal is to support each player in reaching their full potential through structured, purposeful off-ice training tailored specifically for ice hockey.

Danielle McDonough

Danielle McDonough is a former Division I and professional ice hockey player turned Mindset Optimization Coach who specializes in helping athletes build unshakable confidence, resilience, and self-belief—on and off the playing surface. With a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and over a decade of experience, she has worked with athletes, teams, and families across the U.S. and internationally. Danielle is the official Mindset Coach for USA Hockey’s National Development Camps and works year-round with the Jr. Ducks and Lady Ducks organizations, helping athletes strengthen their mental game alongside their physical skills. She is also the best-selling author of The Empowered Athlete: Self-Confidence, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Worth: An Athlete’s Guide to Excellence and the founder of Peak Performance Training. Through her signature programs, Danielle equips athletes with practical tools to manage pressure, bounce back from setbacks, and reach their full potential. Her mission is to empower the next generation of athletes to thrive not just in their sport—but in life.

Courtney King

A San Pedro native, Courtney fell in love with ice hockey at the age of 9 when she first saw the Los Angeles Kings on TV.  

Courtney spent the next ten years playing SCAHA and CAHA hockey and elite girls' hockey.  She trained for five years with Tom Hughes of Tom Hughes Hockey Inc. in power skating. She has coached with the Bay Harbor Red Wings, Lady Ducks, Junior Ducks, and Ice Dogs and has won two National titles with her women's team the SoCal Sea Otters.

Her true passion is hockey skating technique. She's trained players from the WHL, NAHL, NA3HL, EPHL, CCHL, and the USPHL in power skating and skating efficiency. 

Having also trained as a dancer, Courtney brings a unique point of view and understanding to skating technique.

Stephanie Rock

Stefanie Rock is a certified sports nutritionist specializing in the unique needs of youth and teen athletes, including fundamentals specific to female athletes, so they can confidently- and accurately- fuel their game & foundation to maximize performance and recovery, strengthen their developmental growth, and minimize their risk of non-contact injury. 

 

While she works with athletes, teams, and guest speaks with organizations throughout the US and Canada, you'll also find her writing the book to support more athletes and sports families around the world.  

 

A former gymnast and professional dancer, Stefanie is a sports mom who spent over a decade traveling for her son & daughter's youth & teen tournaments, and now continues to cheer on her son's collegiate hockey games.

Jessica Koizumi

Jess Koizumi coached 13 seasons at the Division I NCAA level. She most recently was the Associate Head Coach at the University of Vermont where they finished 1 th in the country and 2nd in their conference standings. 

 

Prior to Vermont, she was the Associate Head Coach at The Ohio State, and Assistant Coach for Yale University. Coach Koizumi was the recruiting coordinator and throughout her collegiate coaching career helped recruit and coach 5 Olympians, 13 National Team players and 10 U18 National Team players - 4 All Americans, 1 Hockey East Player of the Year, 2 Hockey East Defenders of the Year, and 2 Hockey East Rookies of the Year. 

 

Coach Koizumi played her college hockey at the University of Minnesota

Duluth and captained the team earning All-Tournament Team honors in the Frozen Four her senior season. She went on to make various Team USA U22 and senior team events earning a Gold medal in the 2008 World Championships. Coach Zumi also played 9 years of professional hockey with 4 different organizations; The Minnesota Whitecaps, Montreal Stars, as well as captained the

Boston Blades and Connecticut Whale. Competing with the Whale in the NWHL’s first game on October 11th, 2015, she scored the first goal in franchise history and the first goal in league history.

 

Coach Koizumi also has a background in roller hockey where she won a gold and silver medal with Team USA in France and Detroit. Coach Koizumi earned her Master’s in Education at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Bachelors in Psychology and minor in Coaching. She resides in Colchester, Vermont. She has her own hockey development company JZumi Performance LLC and works with Elev802 in Vermont.
