Not Your Average Girls' Camp

EmpowerHer Hockey is more than just a camp -  it's a mission. Led by a powerhouse team of five professional women in sports, including experts in mental performance, strength training, female-specific nutrition, elite power skating, and on-ice decision-making, this camp is designed to fuel her game and her confidence. Through this high level training, the athletes will learn to own their mindset, trust their preparation, and be leaders on and off the ice. This is a space for great girls to play great hockey, to connect with mentors who get it, and to walk away feeling stronger, more skilled, and more sure of themselves - not just as hockey plaers, but as young women.

Elissa Dunlop

Elissa Dunlop’s hockey journey began at 13 in Pasadena, California, where her love for the sport first took flight. She later moved to Detroit, MI, to play for the renowned Little Caesars AAA Hockey Club, which set the stage for her collegiate career at Long Island University, competing at the NCAA Division I level.

Elissa’s professional career saw her play for Team Bauer in Boston's PWHPA and the Lakers Kärnten in Austria’s EWHL, experiences that helped her understand what it is like to live out a dream.

Inspired by her brief mentorship with hockey legend Adam Oates and, with at the time, NHL development coach Brandon Narrato during COVID-19 —Elissa transitioned into coaching with a vision to nurture and develop young players.

Her private coaching has been a cornerstone of her career, with a long list of successful students who have achieved significant milestones under her guidance. Elissa’s tailored approach and deep understanding of the game have made her a sought-after coach, delivering exceptional results for her players.

In addition to her private coaching, Elissa has worked with teams such as the LA Lions, Little Caesars AAA Hockey club, and Pasadena Maple Leafs special needs program, as well as camps such as Gretzky Hockey School and Pro Ambitions Hockey.

Elissa moved to Salt Lake City in 2023 to train as a short track speed skater before hoping to return to play professionally, but soon became pregnant with her son. Now she is a full time mom and coach and loves it!
